Our client needed durable access covers for a pedestrian heavy area, focusing on security, weatherproofing and safety features. The covers had to meet FACTA Class A standards and include slip-resistant measures.

Solution

We delivered three custom-engineered upstanding access covers tailored to the client’s exact specifications. Each cover is equipped with torsion spring-assisted lifting for effortless access, paired with an EPDM seal to provide a secure, weatherproof fit. For enhanced security, a built-in padlock facility was added, along with safety stays and a hinged, ladder-style safety grid for reliable, safe access.

These covers are fully galvanised to BS EN 1461 standards, ensuring long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance. They feature slip-reducing material on the surface and are bordered with hazard tape to promote visibility and reduce slipping risks in pedestrian-heavy areas.
