Our customer faced an urgent infrastructure challenge outside a prominent building in central London. A broken iron cover required immediate replacement to ensure public safety and maintain operational efficiency. In addition to being broken the existing unit was heavy and difficult to lift, the client required a cover suitable for single person operation. However the task presented significant challenges dueto the precise location of the cover—adjacent to a ventilation pipe with an overhang, adding complexity to both design and installation.

Solution
Working alongside SFH Maintenance, a comprehensive survey was conducted to assess the site conditions and design requirements. This allowed our team to develop a tailored replacement, ensuring an exact fit while overcoming location challenges.
To meet the high standards required, we selected the Steelway Brickhouse Defender – a Hinged Assisted Lift Access Cove complete with keyless locking and padlock facility, known for its durability, ease of use and enhanced safety features. SFH Maintenance then carried out a seamless installation, ensuring a perfect fitand long-term reliability.
